Without a doubt, worth every penny, when you buy them on sale. Keeps out the wind, even in freezing temps. I ride year round, these are much better at blocking the wind than regular thermals. The wicking of the inner fleece keeps them tolerable as the temperature increases. I can stand wearing them under my dress clothes even if the temp reaches about 70F.

I take meticulous care of them, never putting them in the dryer, washing in an HE front loader, but they quickly begin to look rough, with the collar pilling. Doesn't affect the performance, just appearance. For the price, worth buying several sets.

I wear these and don't even use my jacket liner until the temps drop below 45F.

A definate "must have", for any REAL rider, that rides in any weather.

Sticking with normal long johns

It doesn't contour to your body. It feels kind of plastic. The extra material on the bottom does not cover the pant gap. The neck area was baggy. It's bulky and doesn't fold up like a long johns.
I used this with long johns underneath and didn't notice a huge difference in wind protection.

Comments about Base Layer Long Sleeve Top:

Had an opportunity to use this at a recent track day event. The material and quality are good. I like the zippered neck as it allows this to be put on easier. The cloth like material is similar to another heated shirt I have used in the past. The morning started out in the mid 40's and this product orked well with my starter undershirt. I did not feel any cold air while moving with sppeds up to about 165 mph.

My leather jacket is vented at the shoulders, great for summer, not so much in the winter. This shirt is perfect worn under my vented leather jacket on a cold winter morning.

Good extra warmth for those cold rides, the zipper on the side was somewhat bulky and a tad uncomfortable, but the warmth made it worthwhile

The Feeze Out gear is a must have for cool mornings. I have used it in the mountains while crusing in 40 degree temperatues. I have read reviews regarding neck opening. I found it to be the right size for using with Freeze Out Hood. The neck opening is necessary to tuck the hood under and zip up. Also the thumb cut outs are great for when you are putting on a jacket. I wear it four days a week and its holding up very well. I wished I had bought two while they were on sale.

Good wind protection except on the arms needs better arm coverage for wind blocking.
