      How I use the Product
      Hot Weather riding.
This helmet has the best ventilation of any helmet I've worn. even with the face shield down at a stop I feel good at 95 degrees (yesterday)
Note: I'm not sure how good it'll be in cold weather. Even when I close all the vents, it feels like there is the same ventilation...but I can't comment on that for another 6 months.

      Things that are great
The flip down sun shield was a major selling factor for me. It works great, and is adequately dark. I no longer wear sun glasses. One problem: the lever is very hard to use. I imagine that's because the spring is neccessarily tight to keep it in place. Also, the sunshield's optics seems slightly distorted...hasn't distracted me any yet though
Have I mentioned that the ventilation is great?

      Things that need improvement
The ventilation seems the same with the vents open or closed
When i turn my head sideways at highway speeds, there seems to be a whistling or squeaking sound.
The chin vent button isn't textured enough to be able to find it with gloves on (but it is very big so it is easy to just randomly push on the chin and have a good chance of finding it)
The faceshield doesn't lock very well in the upper position, so at high speeds it might come down on you
Finally, the cheek pads seem REALLY snug. The helmet fits great..but my jaw hurts after a short ride. I know helmets need to be snug, but I'm hoping that after a month or so, these pads will where in a little bit and be more comfortable

Overall, I've owned 4-5 helmets...this is the best helmet I've owned. It's the best because of ventilation and the flip down sunshield. The rest is right on par with my expectations.

Fit and ventilation were good for me, but after a year and a half of causal use(and no winters) it's got to be replaced. The plastic latches on the chinbar have worn so it's very hard to open/close, the sunshade won't stay all the way up, and the felt piece inside the chin has detached. I wish I'd spent the extra money and bought a more durable helmet.

Comments about STREET & STEEL Phantom Solid Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

The modular part of the helmet is hard to close. Noisy, using communication devices the rec. could not hear over wind noise. Helmet looks great, and would work well if behind a windshield.

Comments about STREET & STEEL Phantom Solid Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

I just got into riding on the road. This is the first helemet I have bought for that purpose, and I love it. It is comfortable, with great visibility. The modular aspect of it is great for those that have to have glasses. It is really easy to put on the helmet while wearing your glasses, and the top gun style drop down sun visor fit over my glasses great. I love it!

Comments about STREET & STEEL Phantom Solid Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

I was looking to replace my full face helmet with a modular one and ended up getting one of these. I tried on several different models and this was one of the best fitting ones. It's surprisingly light weight, has great air flow and is fairly quiet. Some of the other modulars I tried on weren't the easiest to open or close. This one is easy to open and snaps when closed so you know it's securely latched. The only complaint I have is that it's a little akward sometimes to flip the tinted shield down. Could have used a better button type. Overall a good helmet with a reasonable price.
