I ride dualsport and wear glasses so was looking for Modular - limited choices at store but this was best bang for buck by far. Fit was tight but wore in within a week and is comfortable.

I ride 30 miles each way M-F and weekends 200-400 miles on and off road. Can ride with flip up at low speeds but wish there was a positive latch to hold it up as can come down on a bumpy ride.

Snap on strap can be tough to get snapped, and strap unsnaps itself at hwy speeds sometimes - annoying.

Would be nice to have inner visor graduated lighter on bottom and dark yet on top. And a sun shade option would be good. Had the outer Visor come loose on one side twice now and not easy to reengage, don't know how I'm getting it to come loose. Visor tab is on left side so if your left hand is busy with clutch you have to reach across with right at stop signs, should be in center more.

Noise is medium unless I stand on my pegs and put it in clean air then it gets quiet.

Really wanted Hi-Viz color but silver is best I could get. Only had 3 color choices - come on.

Had several get offs in dirt and helmet stayed shut, like metal locking parts.

So far have not had hot weather but doing great from 20's thru 70's F for last 4 months.

Store rep on country club was very good with fitting helmet. Take your time to get fit right, cuz I've met others who have headache buckets and blame the helmet when it was them and the store who didn't do it right - I tried wearing it in the store for an hour before I decided it was ok for me.

For the price I don't think you can beat this Helmet but it could be improved.

This helmet has great bones (all metal modular clips are a plus) but missing some key features my other BiLT Helmets have.

Missing: Red Release Strip on chin buckle and the chin strap slack does not have a little loop to keep the excess strap from bouncing around.

The MAJOR concern is how loud the internal visor is when snapping back up. Its on the left side and leaves your ear ringing.

I have pretty normal ears and the internal padding cuffs them just slightly but fits great everywhere else. Overall it makes a great cheap around town or passenger helmet, just don't expect to use the internal visor or use at HWY speeds without earplugs.

Gripe: front chin wind guard does not stay snapped in place.

Comments about Solar Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

Bought this for cooler/winter riding in the Gulf Coast. Had to drill out the face vents to get even marginal air to keep it from fogging. Scratches real east but to the cost (under 100.00) it serves its purpose

Comments about BILT Solar Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

I am a beginner rider and wanted a helmet that was affordable and practical. It was on sale, so I got it for a solid price. The comfort to price ratio was the best in the store (my next favorite comfortable helmet was over $250 more expensive), and it sets well on me. I wear thick-framed glasses, and they fit well in the helmet. Because it is modular, now that it's broken in a bit, I can slide the helmet on/off without taking off my glasses. It has the qualities I look for, and the built-in sun shield is a huge plus.

I like the helmet when on touring motorcycle with faring, but it's not the best when riding motorcycle with no faring due to wind making experience too noisy
